Even thou it doesn’t feel like it warmer weather is just around the corner. With the new sport season starting up, be on the look out for Sever’s Disease in your kids. Although the name might sound pretty frightening, Sever’s disease is really a common heel injury that occurs in kids between the ages of 8-15 and occurs when the growth plate of the heel is injured by excessive forces during early adolescence.

If your child is complaining of ongoing heel pain after activity it is important to have them assessed to ensure the correct treatment modalities are implemented early.
